New Brush High School, Beetdigger Arena, & Coach LeeRoy Needens Basketball Court
This 2 min. music video features the new Brush, Colorado High School complex, completed in 2020. The video highlights parts of the state-of-the-art school facility (there’s much more) & includes the dedication of BHS's new basketball court to revered Coach LeeRoy Needens. Needens, a BHS Alumni & Coach had a career spanning 31 years (1959-63 and 1970-98). His teams appeared in seven state tournaments, won two state titles (1961-62 and 73-74), took second twice (60-61 and 62-63) and third once (74-75). ©petite productions 2023 Go Diggers!

Six minute trailer: (Contact us if you are interested in seeing the full documentary) The film received the 2016 Platinum Award at the Colorado Film Festival and an Award of Recognition in the Education/ Training/Instruction category from IndieFest Film Awards. Filming was undertaken over 1 and 1/2 years at the school and surrounding locations. The full film examines a most unique and highly successful curriculum by capturing student and teacher involvement in a wide variety of student activities.

In The Child's Garden: The Educational Legacy of Frances & David Hawkins", is an exploration of the remarkable work of two educators who touched the lives of children and teachers in US rural, inner city, and reservation schools. The Hawkins' ideas influenced Head Start, Elementary Science Study, & teacher education though the Mountain View Center for Environmental Education at the University of Colorado-Boulder. Their collaboration with CU, Harvard, Queen's University-Ontario, and schools in Leicestershire, England and Reggio Emilia, Italy has impacted thousands of students and teachers. Termespheres: Total Worlds
M.C. Escher's son George Escher said that artist Dick Termes matches his father's quest in capturing the "un-capturable" -- visual dimensions unrepresented in most art. This documentary presents the groundbreaking art of Dick Termes, whose work has been recognized internationally and whose one-of-a-kind spherical paintings have been published in books all over the world. Dick explores higher-dimensional geometries and virtual environments, concentrating on capturing total visual space -- total worlds using six and ten-point perspective on spheres called Termespheres (©). This documentary reveals these mystifying and offbeat worlds and their impact on the mind of selected viewers. Lines of Learning: A 1-minute experiment to learn a new graphic application and to ponder a larger project on geometry in nature. I used stock footage and the geometry subtle, best seen on larger screen. The final quote is from one of my mentors in the field of education, David Hawkins.
